Anyone wants to donate breast milk?

My nen-nen (milk) supply is not enough for my fussy demanding son. Its almost ONE month and the most I can pump is just 6oz, and this only happened ONCE. My daily milk supply is just 5oz (for 2 feeds), so pathetic.

Isaac boy doesnt like to latch on my breast, he prefers bottle! He will only latch on my breast in the morning and that only happens ONCE everyday. Direct breastfeeding is IMPOSSIBLE for his next feed, as he'll scream his lungs out, I tried to force him to latch on my breast, he refused to even look at the breast, scream until he turned RED.

I seriously fail big time in breastfeeding. I've tried papaya soup, fenugreek, massage, etc....but it doesnt boost my milk supply. HELP!! Else, I would have to sell my Spectra 7 pump for half price.

my milk only arrives after the 2nd month. during qiqi's time, i only get to pump a max of 4oz each time, hence u are really doing so much better compare to me. Dont worry, boys are generally bigger eater. hope yur baby will learn to enjoy direct bf from mummy soon!

Try to BF ur baby or express it in every 1-2 hrs continously for few days. But of cz let ur baby drinks directly from the breast is the BEST. Don give up!! Breast milk is the best for baby. I breast feed my baby until now...

I admit b/feeding is a tough job! Did you try lying on the bed (sideway) and feed baby? I find that position is the most comfortable one. Expert said if baby latch on, that will increase the breast milk supply. Dun give up. Work hard and u can! Take it easy. ^_^

Chinnee, will ur QQ scream when you park ur nen nen in her mouth? Isaac boy will scream until he turns red, even when i stuff my nen nen into his mouth. He just dont wanna latch on it!

Elaine: Express for 1-2 hours? but i hav no milk supply. Expressing is so painful especially the nipple.

mNhL:yes, lying sideway is the ONLY method Isaac feels comfortable. Its so so sad he will only 'entertain' my nen nen ONCE in the morning.

Not express for 1-2 hrs, but express in EVERY 1 hr or 2 hrs. Let ur baby practice how to latch on even no milk supply and make sure in a correct position. He is the one who can stimulate it the best. This is to let ur breast/body know ur baby needs more milk. Remember where there is a demand, there is a supply. Be patient & "JIA YOU"!! :)

Try expressing your milk every 1.5 to 2 hours for about 5 to 10 minutes each time from both breast. No matter what the amount of milk u express, just believe in yourself that you will have more milk the next try, or the next day or the next week or the next month. Don't give up. Stay positive. Drink lots of water and rest well. Pumping will be painful. Direct breastfeeding will be painful too if bb didn't latch well. Maybe he is more confortable with laying down position n do always stick to that until he sucks well n try other positions later on. Good luck!

Don't give up. To certain people, milk supply only comes later. Continue to BF direct. Try when he is not hungry. Don't do it when he is hungry cause he will get agitated easily.

Even if you don't BF direct but continuously pump, there will still be supply.

Hi Marie, I agreed with mNhL. Lying sideway is d best position. Don't force him to ur nipple. Just slide a napkin behind his back so tat both of u r tummy to tummy. Then expressing some milk out. He'll search ur nipple himself one. Ethan & I also having difficulties initially but m better now. So don't give up ya.

Ok, let me share with you how I increase my milk supply. I learned from someone that by doing tandem feed and pump helps.

Well, it is not easy as you need to hold bb on one arm to feed and the other hand to hold the pump and pump (you can get Anoti to help). The breasts will somehow get the message that they need to do extra work and will produce more milk (demand & supply).

What I tried was, doing this during night feeds (milk production is more rapid at night) and I have a very chubby 3 months old! Like a little hippo!

Hope that helps and don't get too depress ok!
