Bloody Stool

By this time, I shud be like any other mothers posting up their newborn pictures and share my birth and confinement experience. But, sunshine has made both mummy and daddy worry, in fact both of us are so stress.

Isaac has streaks of blood in his stool, it has been on going for ONE MONTH. At first Dr said its a fissure in the anus, during the next visit Dr suspected it was Soy based formula that is not suitable for him, we changed to Enfalac A+ but the problem still exist. Went to the hospital again yday, Dr said there's this possibility that Isaac is allergic to MILK, and has to take special formula. If only I could breastfeed him completely, my poor baby would not have to go through this.

I'm torn apart.....

Don't give up Marie on breastfeeding. Try to feed positive thoughts to your mind and you will naturally have milk for your son. If you have negative thoughts, then naturally you will not have milk. Your brain is the one that stimulates milk. So stay positive for the sake of your son. Good luck!

Hi Marie,

Hugs to you! Don't give up, babe. And will keep all in my prayers.

BF is hard work, but it sounds like you're still doing it, so that's a good sign.

The trick is to relax. Easier said than done, right? The nursing pillow helped me a lot (The big U shaped pillow). If I needed to relax, I would just sit and watch TV, with baby lying on nursing pillow facing one of my boob.

And when all else fails, start chanting the rosary while nursing, it usually de-stresses me or makes me sleepy ;) so then I'm not so worked up. Babes can feel anxiety, so my trick is to mutter the rosary to calm my anxious soul.

Keep us updated, kay.

Sigh.. It's heart breaking to hear this. Hope you can find out the real cause asap. Pantai's midwife told us that she had a baby who was allergic to milk. The parents tried all the formula milk in the market, even bought some from Japan, but without any success. Only solve it with breastfeeding.
There was a mum who didnt breastfeed the baby until the 4th month but she still success. So I believe you still have a lots of "hidden treasure" waiting for you to explore.. Best wishes~ Ed

oh dear! it is indeed worrying for both mummy and daddy. Don't get so stress up because that will not help much. Stay positive and with the doctor's help, things will improved. BF is not as easy as we think, but you can definately do it when time goes by. Be positive! All the best!
